Participation in the International Symposium on Digital Libraries: Sustainable Development in Education - DLSDE 2023

Research scholars from DLISCUTN have presented papers in DLSDE2023, organised by the National Digital Library of India at IIT Kharagpur on 20-22 November 2023.

Mr. Abhijith Roy has presented the paper “Assessing the Openness of Scholarly Publications on Sustainable Development Goal ‘Quality Education’ in India: A Data Carpentry Analysis".

Ms. Sushree Namita Nag  has presented the paper “Need-based e-learning through NDLI: A Study on the Perception of Research Scholars’ of Central University of Tamil Nadu”.


Ms. Rishika Sohiny has presented the paper “Assessing Web Accessibility in the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) and Internet Archive Using AInspector Sidebar”.

Congratulations Ms. Samarpita Dash

DLIS congratulates Ms. Samarpita Dash, winner of the quiz and the painting competition of Deepotsav 2023, organised by the Chozha Library, CUTN.





Congratulations to the winners of Hindi Fortnight Competitions 2023.

DLIS congratulates Dr. Dhanyasree V.K,  Ms. Chithra M and Ms. Tamil Bharathi T. K for their achievements in the Hindi Fortnight Competitions 2023 at CUTN.

Dr. Dhanyasree V.K, Assistant Professor, has secured first prize in the Hindi Noting & drafting and the Hindi Memory Test Competition. She secured second prize in the Hindi Dumb Charades and the Hindi Song Singing. She won third prize in the Hindi Anthakshari and the Hindi Extempore Competition.

Ms. Chithra M, Computer Assistant, received consolation prize in the Hindi Handwriting Competition.
Ms. Tamil Bharathi T. K, Research Associate, DLIS,  has secured third position in the Hindi Handwriting Competition and second position in the Hindi Anthakshari. She received consolation prizes in Hindi Dumb Charades and the Hindi Song Singing Competition.

DLISCUTN welcomes our new batch of MLIS students

On October 3rd the Department of Library and Information Science welcomed the new batch of  students. The event started with the address by the Head of the Department Dr. Taddi Murali, who gave his insight about the program and opportunities in this field. The program continued with the introduction of all the juniors followed by an icebreaker session . The hall was filled with laughter and joy as everyone participated in the activities hosted by the seniors. At the end of the program, everyone clicked pictures together and grooved with music.



Bon voyage Dr. Akhandanand Shukla

It was an emotional and memorable day as the Department bid adieu to our esteemed Associate Professor and former Head of the Department, Dr. Akhandanand Shukla. The sendoff function was graced with presence of his colleagues , students, research scholars, and former students recalling memorable moments with him. Dr. Taddi Murali, Head of Department graciously welcomed everyone to the ceremony and gave an inspiring address concerning the invaluable contributions Dr. Shukla. Dr. Murali highlighted how Dr. Shukla has made a lasting impression on all of us with his leadership, passion, and steadfast dedication to the department's improvement. The students expressed profound gratitude for Dr. Shukla's guidance and mentorship. Dr. Shukla shared his experience with the department as an administrator, colleague and teacher . Research Scholar Mr. Praveen Gupta delivered the vote of thanks, beautifully summarizing the feelings of the entire DLISCUTN family. Everyone Congratulated him for his new endeavor as Professor at North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong.
